John was born 1890 in Pickhill, Denbighshire to parents Charles & Selina
1891 Roseporth Cottage, Tybroughton with parents & brother Samuel
1901 as above but with more siblings! John is the second of six children
1911 ?? – the rest of the family are at The Fields, Bradley, Whitchurch
He married Agnes Egerton Dec qtr 1912.
John enlisted at Overton and sadly died of wounds 26th May 1918 at the Canadian Stationary Hospital, Douellens and is buried in the town at the communal cemetery, Ext No 2. His headstone bears the epitaph “Safe in the arms of Jesus / From his loving wife and child”.
The CWGC states: Husband of Mrs. A. Williams, of Yew Tree Cottage, Halghton Lane, Hanmer.
