Lieutenant Hubert Vaux Kitching; Prince of Wales’ Volunteers (South Lancs)
Hubert was born 3rd March 1891 in Hanmer, to parents Thomas David Butterfield Vaux Kitching and his wife Eliza. He was baptised in the church 19th March 1891 and attended Hanmer school.

- 1911 with parents in Hanmer, working as an Estate Agent.
He married May Grace Owen Sept qtr 1932 and in 1939 they are still in Hanmer and Hubert is now a Chartered Surveyor.
Hubert died 8th September 1982 and is buried in Hanmer churchyard with his wife and her sister
