1911 Working on his father’s farm at Rhostre, Halghton, Hanmer
He died aged 21 on 23rd August 1916 and is buried at La Laiterie Military Cemetery, south of Ypres, Belgium.
Whitchurch Herald Local War Notes (Sept 23rd 1916) describes some touching letters of condolence.
