Sergeant Charles Breslin, 7819 R.W.F. and 200771 4th R.W.F.


Charles was born 25th April 1893 at Croxton Pool, Hanmer. He was baptised in St Chad’s 23rd May 1893 and like his brother’s attended the local school.
He married Emily Baxendale July 16th 1921 in St Paul’s Church, North Shore Liverpool.
In 1939 he is still in Liverpool, maintaining hydraulics lifts. His obituary states that he and Emily lived in Liverpool until 1941, when they came to went to live in Worthenbury. After Emily died in 1948, Charles made his home alternately with his son in Swinton, Lancashire and with his daughter Elsie, wife of Roy Sutton, of Ashcroft, Cuddington. Malpas.
He died 4th March at the home of his second son in Swinton and his funeral took place at Worthenbury.
