Vickers, Jasper

Private Jasper Vickers, 27353 4th North Staffs.

Jasper enlisted November 1915 and his Flintshire Record states that he was injured at Loos during that month. He was discharged in July 1917 due to sickness. Many of his Army Service Records have survived and are available to view on Ancestry.

He is not pictured in Hanmer Book of Remembrance

Jasper was born 7th July 1880, the son of Henry Vickers & his wife Ann. The family lived at Horseman’s Green and Jasper attended Hanmer school. His occupation after leaving school, was a Carpenter like his father.
