Private 521181 Randall Carr, The Dukes, Halghton
Agricultural Co. RWF

This regiment was actually a unit of the Labour Corps, administered through the RWF Headquarters at Wrexham. As it was only formed in 1917 he must have belonged to some other regiment previously. However, his Flintshire Record of Service states that he did not serve out of England.
There are a couple of possibilities, one Randall Edward Carr who is in Overton in 1901 (father born Halghton), but I favour Randle William Carr, who although not born in Hanmer, his father Frederick was born in Halghton and a Randal W Carr attended Hanmer school until May 1896. Another reason I favour this man, is that he worked in Agriculture and in 1939 was Assistant Land Commissioner for the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries. I need to find further evidence.
