Captain Evelyn Francis de la Poer Beresford Peirse, The Vicarage, Hanmer, 4th Yorks

 Landed in France as a 2nd Lieutenant on 12 May 1915.  Applied for his medals in February 1938, giving his address as Bradford Estate Office, Knockin, Oswestry, Salop.

Evelyn Francis was born 3 Sept 1877 at Bedale Hall, Bedale, Yorkshire. He was the son of Sir Henry Monson de la Poer Beresford later Beresford-Peirse, 3rd Bt., JP DL and Lady Adelaide Mary Lucy Bernard. He had four brothers & two sisters.

He married Marian Annette Owen Kynaston on 30th April 1912 (Oswestry district).  She was daughter of Rev Walter Charles Edward Kynaston. In 1939, they are together at Sunny Bank, Knockin and Evelyn is still a Land Agent.  Local directories of that time state that he was land agent to the Earl of Bradford. Sadly Marian died 29 Feb 1944.
He married his second wife, Efa Oliver Kynaston Owen (Oswestry district), daughter of James Loftus Owen, on 10 January 1946. ?
According to probate, BMD etc, he died 9 March 1954 (many Ancestry trees say 1953), address still Sunny Bank, Knockin, Oswestry.
